Telemedicine allows health care providers to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients remotely using secure video and audio platforms. 

Virtual Pediatrics is fully HIPAA compliant and secure. You can be assured that your conversations with the provider and your medical records are kept secure and private. 

Telemedicine provides access to quality care from the comfort of your home, eliminates travel time and costs, and reduces the amount of time missed from work, school, or daycare in order to go to a doctor's office or urgent care.

You may use any computer, tablet, or smartphone that has a web camera and video capability. Performance may be enhanced by connecting through Wi-Fi when possible. 

Please make sure your child is with you at the time of the visit. 

We can help with children from birth to age 18 in Tennessee.

Virtual Pediatrics can help with simple illnesses and injuries, such as:

• rashes, bites/stings, and skin infections
• fevers
• cold symptoms and croup
• vomiting and diarrhea
• constipation
• pink eye
• cuts/scrapes and puncture wounds
• head injuries
• ear pain *can be evaluated with photos from a wireless otoscope camera
• strep throat infection *can be treated with a positive at-home test
• urinary tract infection *can be treated with a positive at-home test

We recommend you see your child's primary care provider for:

• wellness visits
• physicals
• management of chronic conditions

We recommend you seek in-person care for:

• illnesses or injuries that may require bloodwork or imaging

Yes! We offer a 50% visit discount for each additional child to be seen in a single appointment! 

Of course! But we take antibiotic stewardship very seriously and strive to only prescribe antibiotics when truly necessary. Our providers follow current prescribing guidelines and use an evidence-based approach to determine if antibiotics are needed.

No, Virtual Pediatrics is a flat-fee, cash-based practice that does not accept insurance. 

However, you will receive an invoice for your visit, which you may be able to submit to your insurance for an out-of-network claim. Most insurance plans cover telemedicine, but if you intend to file a claim, we suggest you check with your insurance provider to be sure. 

We accept all major credit cards.

Any prescriptions can be called in to the pharmacy of your choice.

A work or school excuse can be emailed to you and can also be easily accessed through your patient portal.

In some cases, the provider may discover a more serious condition that requires your child to be seen in person for a more thorough examination or testing that is not available at home. In these instances, the provider will work with you to determine the appropriate level of care for follow-up (office vs. urgent care vs. emergency room) as well as timing for follow-up (immediate or can wait until the next day). 

In every case, our goal is to make sure your child receives the appropriate care for their condition.

 As a courtesy to other patients and to the provider, please provide adequate notice if you need to cancel or change an appointment.

• If you cancel within 12 hours of your appointment, your credit card will be charged 50% of the cost of the visit.
• If you miss your appointment, your credit card will be charged for the full cost of your visit.
